Today is the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month, the Charity Brain Tumour Research has begun campaigning to raise awareness and urging supporters to get involved to find a cure. The Charity has a number of activities to kick off the campaign to attempt to demand increased national investment and raise funds to support vital research to find a cure for brain tumours.
Brain Tumour Research have a mission to increase UK investment in brain tumour research. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. In addition to this, statistics show 16,000 people every year are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Brain Tumour Research are the only national charity in the UK focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours through campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.
Throughout Brain Tumour awareness month, Ramsdens Solicitors will be raising awareness by participating in Wear a Hat Day on 25th March 2022, sharing various blogs and the message on our Twitter Account (RamsdensPI) that ‘Together we will find a cure’.
