Ramsdens Solicitors of Harrison Road, Halifax, held a charity car wash day and their chosen charity was The Samaritans, also of Harrison Road in Halifax.
The event was organised by paralegals, Thomas Jagger and Nicole Natur, who organised the office to have a relay system of car washing where cars were offered to be washed in the company’s car park by members of staff on a shift system. There was also a cake and bun stall with light refreshments available for customers.
The sum of £778.56 was raised and Thomas Jagger and Nicole Natur are seen here handing the cheque over to Samaritans Director, Joyce Catterick. Also in the picture are Samaritans Doug and Ruth.
Joyce accepted the cheque on behalf of Halifax Samaritans, who rely on donations from the public to help fund their valuable telephone, text and email service.
The money will probably be used to refund from capital allowances the refurbishment of the Samaritans shop which is in Elland, from which all proceeds go towards helping run the Samaritans in Harrison Road, Halifax.
