Companies House has recently changed its filing fees, effective from May 2024.
The changes have been effected to reflect the cost of providing services and to recover the costs of new powers through the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act. All services offered by Companies House will see increased fees including incorporation, name changes, submission of confirmation statements, company re-registration.
The cost of incorporating a business digitally, for example, will be £50 instead of the previous fee of £12. Same-day registrations are now £78, compared to the previous fee of £30. The cost of filing confirmation statements online increases from £13 to £34. The fee for an online notification of change of company name increases from £8 to £20 (£30 to £83 for same day change). The voluntary strike off application fee increases from £10 to £44.
Fees for like paper applications have increased and, as before, are greater than for online filings.
