The Government have published the long-awaited Renters’ Rights Bill which, amongst many changes to the current law, will ban no fault evictions - commonly known as the section 21 notice process. This will result in the loss of the accelerated possession procedure as well. 

The Bill as drafted will fundamentally change the rights of tenants by providing more protection and certainty for those renting. However, the question is, how will this legislation affect the residential rental market?
