The chancellor has just announced a pretty big u-turn and extended the furlough scheme until the end of March 2021. The Government will pay up to 80%.

Employers will pay only NICS and pension contributions although the level of contribution will be reviewed in January.

The job retention bonus of £1000 per retained employee has been shelved for now.
