In February we reported on the consultation on the draft regulations for mandatory gender pay gap reporting – See our blog of 12 February 2016 ‘Firms Must Reveal Gender Pay Gap’. At that time it was expected that the regulations would come into force in October 2016.
Since February there have of course been a lot of political changes. The Government Equalities Office has now confirmed that the publication of the final regulations has been delayed. It is now envisaged that the regulations will be laid before Parliament in the Autumn and will commence in April 2017. The first pay reports would then be due by the end of April 2018.
