At Ramsdens, we’ve seen a vast increase in new enquiries since the country first went into lockdown in March this year. Like everyone, we have had to adapt to a new virtual way of working whilst in a pandemic which has included the majority of our team adapting to working from home and our 13 offices across West Yorkshire being closed to the public.
We now offer our 30 minute free consultations over the telephone or, if you would prefer to see your solicitor, we can arrange an initial appointment by way of video call using Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp or Facetime. If you would like a friend or family member present for support, we can arrange for them to be included in the call too.
We are then able to deal with all matters on your behalf via telephone. Virtual appointments with our family law team, can be done via video call and we can share our computer screen with you to make it easier to go through documents and help you with any queries you may have. We can obtain all documents required to progress your file either in the post, by email or by text message including documents which require a signature.
If financial proceedings are issued and a Court hearing takes place, the majority are taking place virtually, either via telephone conference call or Skype.
Although you cannot currently meet with your Solicitor in the office, our team are always available via telephone to help you with any queries you may have throughout the process, meaning that your divorce is one less thing to worry about in 2020.
