Ramsdens Solicitors are pleased to announce the retention of two of their newly qualified Solicitors, who were admitted to the roll at the start of the month.
Laura Whiteley qualifies into our Private Client team and will be based at our Halifax office, while Emily Walker joins the Litigation and Employment team and will be based at our Edgerton office.
Laura Whiteley, Solicitor, commented on why she chose Ramsdens to complete her training: “I am so pleased to be qualifying as a Solicitor with Ramsdens following the completion of my training contract in September.
“The last two years have been very interesting, at times challenging, but thoroughly useful in learning the day to day responsibilities of a solicitor. With Ramsdens being a full spectrum law firm I was given the opportunity to spend time in different specialist teams, getting first-hand experience in the different ways each department operate. This ultimately helped me to develop the way that I work, as well as allowing me to meet and get to know my colleagues across our 14 offices. Being thrown into a brand new department initially felt daunting but Ramsdens has a great work culture and the various people around me have been so supportive and helped me find my feet.
“I am now looking forward to the new challenges being a Private Client solicitor will bring. The team here at Ramsdens have gone from strength to strength and are widely recognised having received many accolades and I am excited to be a part of it.”
Emily Walker, Solicitor added: “I am very excited and proud to qualify as a Solicitor at Ramsdens. Since I joined in 2013, the firm has expanded rapidly and has been recognised and commended through a number of awards.
“Ramsdens provide clear career progression and it is particularly inspiring to see the number of former trainees hold high level positions within the firm. I am grateful to all of my colleagues for their support, guidance and good humour throughout.
“Having particularly enjoyed Corporate, Litigation and Employment I decided that my passion is to work within business legal services. I am therefore looking forward to working in both Litigation and Employment which is ideal for me as they combine elements of both contentious and non-contentious work. My next goal is to make a real and lasting contribution to the continued success of the Litigation and Employment departments and Ramsdens as a whole.”
