This week we have been supporting the charity Brake in their road safety awareness week. Brake carry out amazing work and aim to promote road safety generally but with a specific focus in November on road safety week; this years campaign is Think Bike.
We have considered the impact of failing to wear a seat-belt and helmet, speeding, use of mobile phones and the vulnerability of cyclists and motorcyclists on the road. Awareness is increasing but there are still drivers not adhering to safety rules which ultimately increase the chance of collision and injury.
There is still so much more to do to raise awareness. Ramsdens will continue to support Brake and campaigns to increase and support awareness of road safety as a whole.
During this week we have focused our thoughts on the impact injuries have on victims of the road and what can be done to help those seriously injured and their families with day to day decisions about life in general. Deputies can be appointed to assist with property and financial affairs & health and welfare, in certain circumstances, for individuals who are no longer able to make decisions for themselves. This help is often required following serious road traffic accidents.
Ramsdens Personal Injury and Court of Protection departments will work together to help victims and their families, supporting through compensation claims and life decisions that may need to be made. For advice on anything covered please call our specialist teams on 01484 821 500 or fill out our online enquiry form and we will be in touch at a convenient time for you.
