This week is Road Safety Week (17th to 23rd November 2024) which is a campaign held by Brake, the Road Safety Charity.
The purpose of Road Safety Week is to raise awareness of the impact of road traffic accidents and the effect that they have on those close to the victims.
Brake is a charity that assists victims and their families following road traffic accidents and work hard to reduce harm when accidents have occurred. This Road Safety Week, Brake’s focus is on remembering those who have sadly lost their lives or suffered life-changing injuries as a result of a road traffic accident.
Brake is developing a Road Victims’ Charter, asking the Government to provide ‘sustainable funding and parity of care’ for victims and their families, and, as part of Road Safety Week, Brake will seek to educate children and young people about those who are available and can assist following a road traffic accident, such as fire and rescue, ambulance and police.
At Ramsdens, we are all too aware that the injured are not the only ones affected when someone is injured and the families and those around our clients are equally as important. They all require relevant support throughout the entirety of the claim, and beyond. We are really pleased to support and highlight Brake’s National Road Victim Service which is a free, trauma-informed service for all victims providing both emotional and practical support.
If you or a loved one have been involved in a road traffic accident and suffered injury, we know this can be life changing for everyone involved and we are here to help.
