Ramsdens' Helen Thewlis, Partner and Head of Family and Karen James, Partner and Head of Conveyancing have both been shortlisted in this year’s Forward Ladies Business Awards #WIBA14. The Forward Ladies’ Women in Business Awards recognise the achievements of professional business women in the North West of England, the Isle of Man and Yorkshire & North East. They will be awarding successful women in 12 separate award categories as well as crowning someone the coveted Businesswoman of the Year 2014. Helen is a finalist in the Corporate Business Woman of the Year and Karen is a finalist in the Property Business Woman of the Year category. Karen has successfully led her to team to win two national awards this year winning at the LFS Awards Conveyancing Firm of the Year and at the Law Society Excellence Awards last month, winning #CQS Best Conveyancing Practice. Speaking about the honour, Ms Thewlis says: “I pride myself on providing the clients I work with a high standard of legal service, so they receive the justice and support they deserve.
