Like many other people at home and at work across the country this morning, the staff at Ramsdens Solicitors will be getting together for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
The idea of the coffee morning is to encourage people to talk to one another and to help raise awareness and funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The inspirational work carried out by the Macmillan Nurses includes supporting those suffering with Cancer. This support can take many forms and often the Macmillan nurses simply lend an ear to people so they can talk to somebody who understands what they may be going through.
They provide support and advice to people of all ages who suffer with or are affected by cancer, from first diagnosis to recovery and even life after cancer. They provide help with emotional support, what to expect and the practical issues that may arise.
One particularly difficult thing to discuss may be getting your affairs in order, should the worst happen. This can involve making funeral plans, preparing a Will to see that your wishes are carried out or preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, to ensure that there is somebody to take care of your affairs if you are to ill do so yourself.
