Emelia is a third-year Trainee Apprentice Solicitor currently sat within our Family Law department. Emelia’s previous seats were with our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team in Leeds and Child Law team in York.
Emelia joined Ramsdens in September 2022 after graduating from Newcastle University in the July. Emelia is undertaking her training contract with the firm, alongside studying for her SQE with BPP University, with a view to qualifying in 2025.
Emelia is a member of both the York and Leeds Junior Lawyers Division, and enjoys taking part in networking and charity events. Emelia is also a member of our Ramsdens Ramblers walking group. She has previously volunteered as a caseworker for NCDV (National Centre of Domestic Violence) writing witness statements for individuals requiring Non-Molestation Orders.

What made you want to work in your sector?
"A legal issue that may appear, on the face of it, simple to resolve, often has many underlying complex issues which need to be addressed in order for the matter to conclude/settle. I enjoy being able to pick these issues apart and work to resolve them, in order to ensure the best possible outcome for my clients."
